Working at Belmont Grange Nursing and Residential Home

Medicines were safely managed, however there was some recent recording errors... CQC had not always been notified in a timely way when the home had been granted authorisation to deprive people of their liberty.

There were enough staff in the home to meet people's needs. The provider had recruited staff for all the roles in the home and was not routinely using agency staff.

Staff received regular training and support. Training was tailored to people's needs and checks were made on staff competency to ensure skills remained current.

People and staff told us the registered manager was helpful, approachable and dealt with concerns if raised. Staff told us they enjoyed working in the service and felt supported and valued.

The service provided a range of activities based on people's individual needs... including singing, quizzes, visits to a local café and visits by entertainers/community groups.
