The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety... Staff confidently explained how they would respond to an incident or accident, confirming information and lessons learnt were shared amongst the team.
Staff wellbeing and morale had improved... There was a positive, compassionate culture at the service and staff confirmed there were more opportunities for them to speak up.
The provider did not always make sure there were enough qualified... negative feedback about staff numbers. One relative said, “...they were short staffed... only 1 carer downstairs.” A staff member added, “I would like more staff. Mornings can be difficult to manage.”
Staff received a thorough induction, and there was a good level of training and ongoing support.
Staff spoke positively about the registered manager and deputy manager, and they led by example. A staff member told us, “The registered manager is really nice, if you want anything they will help.”
