Working at Barnfield House

No permanent manager in place yet, so leadership might feel unstable day to day.

At the time of our inspection, there was no registered manager in post, but the manager was applying for registration.

No activities coordinator or programmes, so the role is mostly routine personal care.

There was little information to show that staff were tailoring opportunities to some people's interests and preferences. We have made a recommendation about this.

Training records were unclear so all staff had to redo training, only standard stuff covered.

Systems that were in place prior to the new manager being in post were not clear in identifying which training staff had completed. As a result, the manager had asked staff to complete all training again so they were confident all training was up to date.
