Working at Badminton Place

People received safe care, and staff understood their needs and preferences well. There was a culture of openness and learning... although we found some had not been recorded. This was addressed.

The current team were positive, motivated and committed to providing a good service. Staff told us they felt the changes had been positive.

The provider employed enough staff to safely support people. There was now some over-recruitment, a reduction in agency staff and several new staff.

Staff told us they received an induction when they started working at the service and ongoing training. Training compliance had declined... but records showed significant improvements more recently.

Managers were visible, knowledgeable and supported staff. Staff, people and their relatives were positive about the current leadership of the service.

People were encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities... This included cultural celebrations and events. For example, church services, Remembrance Day commemoration, memory café, gardening and pets as therapy visits.
