"An approachable manager creates a positive culture with good training and varied activities, but medicines management and staffing waits need improvement."
Medicines were not always managed safely. The provider had not always ensured medicines and treatments were safe and met people’s needs; issues included PRN recording gaps, incorrect thickener mixing, and poor temperature monitoring.

We received mixed feedback from people regarding this with some people feeling there were enough staff and others reported a wait for staff support. The provider had experienced a period of staff recruitment and changes.
Oversight isn't tight enough so problems like poor care recording aren't spotted quickly by managers.
Some improvement was required in the oversight of the service to ensure concerns we found during our assessment would be identified internally in a timely manner going forward. Care plan audits had not always identified where information was missing.
