Staffing levels are enough to get by but get very busy some days, so you might feel stretched and wish for an extra pair of hands.

One staff member commented, "Some days you feel we could do with the extra one (staff member), but as soon as we figure out a routine for that day, we manage it."

Only standard induction and basic training sessions, no specialist courses or funded qualifications to build your skills further.

Staff received an induction when they started working at the home. The induction included working alongside experienced members of staff so they could learn people's individual routines.

Some group activities like play rehearsals and community visits, but no dedicated activities team or special innovative programmes to make the job more varied.

On the ground floor, there was a large communal area where people could spend time to sit quietly or to socialise. This space was also used to support group activities and events.
