People felt safe... systems and processes in place to safeguard them. Risks to people had been assessed and were safely managed. People were provided with their medicines in a safe way.

Staff were motivated by and proud of the home. I love my job. This is an amazing place to work.

No agency staff were engaged and regular staff were used to support people that they knew. Rosters clearly showed that sufficient staff were employed.

Staff had received appropriate training... more specialist training in matters such as dementia and mental capacity. Nursing staff had access to clinical updates and clinical supervision.

Service leadership was exceptional and distinctive. The manager is brilliant. She is open to ideas and will always listen.

Arrangements for social activities were innovative... music trolley... resident dog called Martha as well as a visiting therapy dog... local children's nursery... local churches.
