Risks to people's safety had been assessed and guidance for mitigation of these risks were detailed... However, we saw evidence that these were not always followed... this put this person at increased risk of choking.
Staff gave mixed feedback... some members of staff used anonymous feedback forms to share their feedback as they did not feel able to share concerns directly.

People were cared for by staff who were recruited safely and had received appropriate training for their role.
Staff gave mixed feedback regarding the support they received from the management team... other members of staff expressed concerns about low staffing levels and told us they felt unsupported and were fearful of raising these concerns.
People knew who the activities co-ordinator was and regularly discussed what activities they would like to do, this included local activities as well as longer trips for example trips to the beach or animal sanctuaries.

Resident risks like choking from wrong foods aren't always managed properly.
One person was identified... to be at risk of choking. Their risk assessment... detailed which foods should be avoided, however we saw... the person was consuming these foods regularly... put this person at increased risk.
