Staff had a good understanding of safeguarding... Risk assessments were clear, comprehensive and up to date... Medicines were managed safely in line with national guidance... Accident and incidents were analysed to establish any trends or patterns.
The registered manager told us they had an open-door policy and was always available for people and staff. Staff agreed; they told us they found the manager and deputy approachable and supportive. Staff said the teamwork was generally good and Ashcroft House was a good place to work.

Per 2021 comprehensive inspection: Staff received training appropriate to their roles. New staff completed an induction including shadow shifts with more experienced staff. Staff completed a wide range of training including... epilepsy, behaviour management and dementia awareness.
