The registered manager told us the home did not use agency workers or share staff from other locations as people required the consistency of a regular and familiar staff team. We observed safe staffing levels throughout the day.
Staff had completed training in line with their role which was up to date. Staff told us they had been trained to support a person so they could effectively communicate with them and supported them further by using a picture exchange communication system (PECS).
Staff told us the registered manager was accessible and supportive. Staff told us they were supported in their roles and had regular supervisions.
People told us that staff helped them source new activities... A person told us about a holiday they all liked to go on together... most people liked going to a local club where they met with their friends and did activities... 2 people were together doing some drawing.
