The service was in breach of legal regulation in relation to people’s safe care and treatment. We identified concerns relating to health, safety and infection prevention and control including unclean communal bathrooms, broken equipment, and equipment used in unsafe ways.
Staff provided consistently positive feedback about the management team, and felt management were supportive, approachable and responsive. There was an open culture where staff were encouraged to raise any concerns.
During our site visit, there were enough staff to meet people’s needs. Staff had been recruited safely and staff rotas confirmed that staff were deployed in line with the service’s assessed safe staffing levels.
