Systems and processes protected people from the risk of avoidable harm. People received their medicines safely. The registered manager monitored all accidents and incidents in real time.
The culture of the service was open and inclusive. Staff morale and teamwork were good. One staff commented, 'It's really nice here, it's a happy place to work'.
The service was almost fully recruited to, which meant agency staff were kept to a minimum. There is a definite core of long-term staff and sufficient numbers so people did not feel rushed.
