Staff spoke positively about working at the service and generally felt supported in their roles. Staff and managers spoke positively about the care being provided and the people they supported.
Our observations during the inspection demonstrated there were enough care staff available to meet people’s needs and provide the care outlined in people’s care plans.
Staff completed training relevant to their roles to keep their skills and practice updated; however, some staff were unclear on actions to follow in a fire or emergency evacuation of the home.
The new manager was not registered with us. However, the newly appointed manager told us they had recently applied to CQC for registration.
People had opportunities to join in some activities provided by the home or use the gardens to help maintain their wellbeing. However, there were limited opportunities for people to be supported to engage in activities of interest to them outside of the home.
