Some staff told us they did not always experience a positive and supportive culture. Staff told us they sometimes felt they were treated differently by their colleagues based on their cultural backgrounds, leading to the formation of groups among staff.
Some people, relatives and several staff told us the provider did not always make sure there were enough staff... staff would often miss their breaks to support people.

The service organised regular group activities. We observed people participating and appeared to be enjoying these during our assessment... records showed other people received very little support to participate in meaningful activities.
Not enough staff at times, especially upstairs and nights, so you miss breaks and rush care for people with complex needs.
One staff member said, “I think we need more staff upstairs, people have complex needs, and we can’t always get everything done with just 2 staff.” A relative said, “...I do not think 1 nurse and 1 carer is enough for this floor.”
