People told us they felt safe. Staff had received training on how to recognise and report abuse. Accidents and incidents were reviewed for themes and trends. Medicines managed safely with electronic system.

There was an open culture in the home and an expectation that people were supported in a person-centred way. Staff worked well together as a team.

People and their relatives told us they felt there were enough staff to meet their needs. Staff said there were enough staff, and this meant that they could deliver care in a person-centred way.

Staff told us that the management team were very approachable and supportive. One staff member said, 'The best place I've ever worked with because of the manager, deputy, the seniors and support from the staff.'

People enjoyed activities including musical activities, crafts, hairdresser, café, outings to Dementia Café, supermarkets, historic places, animal farms; monthly activities planner provided; knitting project for premature babies; ex-footballer visit arranged.
