Working at Abi House

Abi house had a consistent staff team, who knew people well. Some staff had worked at Abi house for several years. The service was fully staffed.

Staff spoke positively about their experience of training and said the more bespoke training around people’s specific health and well-being was particularly useful. “The training and learning never stops, it’s very good.”

Staff told us they were able to talk with the provider and managers when they needed to. One staff member said, “I can speak up. The manager is very approachable.”

There was a positive approach to the planning of activities relevant to people at the service. One person had a therapy cat (an electronic cat) which was used to help a person choose what to do next.
