Some safety risks like unsafe bedroom door locks and bedrails without protectors weren't fully managed, and medication records had gaps.

Bedroom doors were fitted with a deadlock mechanism, which meant staff were unable to access the bedroom if the deadlock had been activated. Bedrails had not always been fitted with protectors... omissions in the administration records for prescribed creams.

Manager is approachable but leadership oversight is weak because audits don't lead to proper action plans to fix problems.

The management team carried out a series of audits... However, action plans had not been developed to address any shortfalls... failed to operate effective systems (Regulation 17).

Staffing levels are enough for the day observed but there's no tool to properly check if they match residents' needs, and people sometimes have to wait.

There were sufficient staff deployed to meet people's needs... However... a dependency tool was not used to monitor the level of staffing. People told us they often had to wait for assistance.
