The service had effective safeguarding systems... Staff had training on how to recognise and report abuse... Investigations into incidents had been used as an opportunity to learn lessons, change practice and drive improvement.

Staff told us they felt respected, supported and valued by the manager... 'The manager is very good, absolutely lovely. There is a really good vibe here'... 'good teamwork.'

Staff received training in a wide range of subjects to meet the needs of people with a learning disability and or autistic people... They felt supported... and received regular supervision... 'Makaton works really well'

The manager was visible in the service, approachable and took a genuine interest in what people, staff, family and other professionals had to say. They worked directly with staff and led by example. Staff were motivated and had confidence in the manager.
