A Registered Manager is a senior management professional who has legal responsibility for the care home and ensures CQC compliance. You are personally registered with the Care Quality Commission. This means you are legally responsible for the service. If the home fails an inspection or is unsafe you can be prosecuted. It is a high pressure job but it pays a high salary.
